Dreams
When you’re young you can dream of things you would like to do,
When you get the money and the time is right for you.
Then, a few years’ later bills and family put your dreams on hold,
Until middle age makes you see they’re as elusive as a leprechaun and his gold,
Yet, you can not help to dream of things big and bright,
You even, begin to think in retirement they will turn out right.
Then before you know it illness and injury have cut you down,
You see your life-long dreams crash hopelessly to the ground!
