 Postal Packin' Dude
The Postal Packin'’ dude who brings the daily mail,
In all kinds of weather he makes his rounds without fail.
With his signature leather bag hanging at his side,
He brings to us our bills from which we cannot hide.
He then gathers our checks stained with tears of salt,
As one more month from our creditors we have bought.
Sometimes we are able to use him to cover our trail,
With the often-used well-known lie “the check is in the mail.”
Though, each day he comes with more paper for me to trash,
I still run to the mailbox hoping and praying for cash!
