A Trucker's Prayer
Lord, bless my wonderful truck keep it barreling on down the road,
Don’t ever let her run empty you know I always need a load.
Please keep us safe from harm keep my eyes wide-awake,
Let the wheels stay between the lines don’t let too much coffee give me the shakes.
Lord; grant me patience for the people I’ll see today,
Especially, the left-lane slowpokes that don’t know to get out of my way.
I give thanks at the end of a long hard day or night whichever the case may be,
My heart thumps like it’s loosing a rod; when in the distance my home, I see.
