 A Silly Day
It’s that silly time of year
when people act so strange,
They spend both time and money
for one day their looks they can change.
If it were for improvement
I'd say go right ahead,
But usually they want to look
like something that’s already dead.
The kids are out begging for candy
the adults are just hanging around,
Pretending they're having fun at
a party dressed like a clown.
They decorate their house and yard
just why I cannot say,
Because it’s not a real holiday to
get a day off with pay.
