Rough Seas
I was the captain of my ship
sailing lost upon life’s stormy seas,
Until a wave swamped my boat
and brought me to my knees.
I was clinging to the wreckage of a life
that was worn and frayed,
When I called on the Mighty God and
for forgiveness I prayed.
The nail~scared hands lifted me
above the towering wave,
He said, “Now, I live in you”
as eternal life to me He gave.
Now it doesn’t matter how rough
and angry the sea,
The Lord is my compass and has
set my heavenly course for eternity.
