The Debt
My Savior took my sins
when they nailed Him to the cross,
For me He took my place
just so I wouldn’t be lost.
He endured the agony for me
for my sins He took the blame,
He died like a common criminal
for me He suffered in shame.
And what have I done for my Savior
the One who loved me so?
I don’t have much of an answer
for I don’t have much to show.
I can’t help but wonder
why I treat my Savior this way,
When the debt I owe to Him
I can never begin to repay.
