I Saw His Agony
I praise my wonderful Lord for reaching down to me,
For lifting me out of the valley so His saving grace I could see.
What I saw stabbed my heart; it brought tears pouring down,
There was the Son of God wearing thorns for a crown.
They beat the One that loved me; made Him carry His cross to Calvary,
Then hung Him between Heaven and Earth on the cross made from a tree.
They pounded nails through my Lord and stabbed Him in His side,
They spilled His Holy blood, they laughed when my Savior died.
I saw my Lord buried, in His tomb He was sealed inside,
Yt, the Lamb rose from the dead to take away ALL my sin.
Yes, my Friend is alive, I talk to Him everyday,
I call out to my Heavenly Father, in Jesus Name to Him, I pray.
