Journey Back to God
When with disgrace we were cast out from the garden
to survive and live on our own,
Man’s savage and ugly nature
was so suddenly shown.
Now, the me-first attitude
is the dominant nature of man,
Sharing and caring
is not our natural game plan.
Especially if it be strangers
no matter how sad their plight,
We’ll pass them by without a word
and pretend they weren’t in sight.
That’s the reason for Jesus
into our pitiful lives to appear,
To lead us back into the grace of God
and take away our fear.
