The Son~In~Law
When you hear the word; son-in-law
does it make you wince?
And wonder what your daughter did
with all her common sense.
You have high hopes for your daughter
you raise and teach her well,
Then when she brings this fellow home
you wonder out loud; Lord where did I fail?
In his early twenties
he’s still a little kid,
So you just have to overlook
some of the things he did.
Maybe by the time he’s thirty
if you let him live,
He’ll grow up and learn it’s not all takes
sometimes he has to give.
These words are only speculation
I hope you all do know,
For some little kids never grow up
they just grow and grow.
