Answer the Knock
We always take time to answer
a knock upon our door,
We always seem to have room
for just one more.
Unless of course it’s Jesus
tapping at our heart,
Trying to come in
with good news for us to impart.
We close the door to our heart
we close and lock it tight,
We don’t hear the words of the Savior
we won’t let him show us the light,
Then we stumble along in the darkness
we stumble alone in the night.
While being deceived by Satan
Into thinking everything’s all right.
So answer the knock at your heart
invite Jesus to come live within,
So your soul can be reborn
and Jesus can take away your sin.
