A Giant Mistake
Goliath was a mighty warrior
he was a true giant of a man,
That’s why he made a giant mistake
as big a mistake as any man can.
He knew there was no mortal that could
withstand his mighty sword,
Yes, Goliath was invincible until
he fought against the Lord.
He was boastful and a braggart
a bloodthirsty beast was he,
That’s why the Lord took great pleasure
o bring himself glory for all to see.
Out of all God’s many people
only a Shepherd boy answered the call,
To go up against the giant
till death should make one fall.
Yes, only a shepherd boy had
the faith to follow the Lord,
Just a young shepherd boy received
God’s blessings as they were poured.
