 The Sacrifice
Our ships, planes and people
are on station around the Earth,
Protecting America and her friends
keeping free the land of my birth.
They came from many races
they came together to make a stand,
To protect our county’s freedom
so to them, I raise my hand.
I raise it in a salute to honor them
one and all,
That gave to our country’s need and
that answered our country’s call.
The freedom we enjoy today
was bought with a heavy price,
Let’s be thankful for the veterans
that made the sacrifice.
