I’ve Dreamed
I’ve dreamed of everything
a childhood could hold,
Even chasing rainbows and
finding a pot of gold.
The best of all were the ones
that made me think,
To plan and design and
then push me to the brink.
I had no idea I was learning
as I played,
A childhood full of things for mine
I would not trade.
It gave me a curiosity
only the years could tame,
Now my tools are seldom used
what a waste and a shame.
