 A Close Encounter
Shades of Sooner Magic
by our heroes of crimson and cream,
You’ll have to play the full sixty minutes
if you expect to beat the Big Red team.
Even though we helped the Aggies along
with turnovers that made me weep,
The Sooners showed that they’re fighters
even when the road is rough and steep.
Hail to Marshall of Norman town
the Aggie lead, he arrested today,
When he snatched the pigskin from them
then took it home to collect our pay.
We can’t forget the Marshall’s deputies
for that amazing goal line stand,
As once again, we showed them all
we’re still the best in the land.
