WINTER MOON
The call of the wolf breaks the stillness of the night,
As we huddle by our fire
for it’s much needed warmth and light.
For the winter moon is upon us
the frozen snows are cold and deep,
For now, our lives are being slowed while Mother Earth is asleep.
While the spirit of winter
over shadows Father Sun,
We will rest and wait until the awakening has begun,
So when the spring sun returns and once again warms the land,
Our lives will be in sync
with what the Great Spirit has planned.
