THE END

This land was the red mans
where we lived happy and free,
Then came the white strangers
from across the great sea.

They brought much disease
and their white man’s greed.
They killed the many buffalo
so n longer my people could they feed.

They pushed the native people
from their ancestor’s land,
We fought with great courage but
the white world we did not understand.

There was too many
their weapons were to great,
Many of my people died
before we realized our fate.

My people’s way of life
had come to an end,
No hope, no justice, and
not even a friend.
