 PRAYER FOR THE NEW WARRIOR
Great Spirit of the Heavens
I am humbled by Your gift to me,
I will raise him in Your ways
so he will always be an honor to Thee.
I will teach him the ways of our people how to use what the land does provide,
To ask you for wisdom
and to always walk closely by your side.
I ask for my son
the strength of the mighty bear,
So his people he can protect
and happiness they can share.
Like our brother the wolf
let him be as swift as the wind,
But also quiet as a mouse
so no warning will he send.
Give my son courage and bravery
so he can stand up for what is right,
Give him honesty and integrity
so he’ll know how to use his might.
Let his days be many
so he’ll have plenty of time,
To teach the many little ones
life’s answers that he finds.
