 BEGINNING OF THE END
The white man came from Europe so they could be free,
But they never thought about
all the new people they would see.
They came to have more freedom
to worship as they pleased,
And somehow they even justified
all our land they seized.
The Indian people shared their land and their food as well,
That may be just what caused
the white man’s number to swell.
We lived in harmony with the land
taking only what we would need,
We knew the land needed our care
so all our people it would feed.
The white man brought their illness and other things we did not need,
But the one thing that brought us down
was their insatiable greed.
