Mothers
When I see a mother and child
a question enters my mind,
Where does she get the energy
where did this strength she find.
For it tires me just to watch
a mother that’s on the go?
As she shops and takes care of business
all with a little one in tow.
I’ve seen them with a sleeping child
carrying more than I could hold,
They must have invisible arms
to manage this enormous load.
Or maybe it’s an inner strength
given from high above,
A heart that filled to the brim
with a total unyielding love.
