Great Spirit of my people
please grant this favor for me,
Help us to celebrate a birthday
for our littlest warrior that would have been three.
We never got to see his smile
or the sparkle of his eyes,
So let us see our little one in
the beauty of Your skies.
The bright shining sun means
he’s happy while waiting for us by Your side,
The dark and towering thunderhead
shows us he’s strong and fills us with pride.
The rain says he misses us and
reminds us not to cry,
For one day the time will come when
we'll see our littlest guy.
The wind tells us he’s playful, as
the clouds go tumbling along,
Each rainbow says our little warrior
is singing us a happy song.
Please, Almighty Spirit as
we celebrate Mekhail’s birthday,
Tell him how much we love him
and guide us in Your all-knowing way.
