The Magic of a Child
I see something so beautiful
it takes my breath away,
This surely has to be
a very lucky day.
It’s a magic lamp I see
with a genie living inside,
A place to go and visit and
from my troubles I can hide.
The Genie motions me in; my heart
it pounds with glee,
For already the magic is working
it’s wonders, already I can see.
Why anyone would throw it out
I really can’t understand,
For a cardboard box like this
is a true never- never- land.
