 She Came Prepared
My most beautiful and only granddaughter
nowhere can she seem to go?
Without more than two can carry
and a bag of babies in tow.
It looked like she was moving in instead of
spending just one night,
If she came to stay for a week
I’d hate to see the sight.
Or maybe it’s just this old pa-pa is out of
tune to how little girls think,
But I’m afraid when she gets a little older
she’ll bring everything but the kitchen sink.
But I guess even that’s ok, as long
as some time she’s willing to share,
It’s just that I sit back and think
what would we do if we had a pair?
