 Mine For Now
I just love to hear
Pa-Pa come and see,
For it means my darling grandkids
still have an interest in me.
Because I know the time is coming
when I won’t be so dear to their eyes,
They’ll grow up and find other interest
and we’ll lose some of our bonding ties.
But that’s just part of life
the way of the changing times,
Our lives are pulled in different directions
so we break some of the ties that binds.
But for now they’re still young
and they like to share the things they find,
So I’m happy to go and look
for that means for now the rascals are still mine.
