 Jackrabbits
The boys really did it today
as they put their mama in a rage,
When out the door they went like
two jackrabbits out of a cage.
They must have ran so fast
they outran the speed of sound,
Because no matter how loud mama screamed in the boys’ eardrums the sound could not be found.
It’s a good thing they were chasing after dad
and he wasn’t too far away,
Because mama couldn’t have caught them
on any given day.
Even though they were punished
they will probably do it some more,
When temptation becomes too great
it’ll be jackrabbits out the door.
