Brittani, My Only
My beautiful and only granddaughter
is growing much too fast,
The boys are starting to notice
soon her childhood will be past.
No, I don't want to loose her
I'm not ready to let her go,
Yes, I'm selfish, as I wish time
I could somehow slow.
Since slowing time is impossible
I'll just have to accept my fate,
And enjoy my little darling
until the boys begin to ask her for a date.
I knew this time was coming
I've been thinking about it for a while,
Now I'm praying the Lord will bless me
and give me a great granddaughter, to make me smile.
