 A Son's Need
I know you’re really busy
and have so much to do,
But my dad, all I want is to spend
some time with you.
I’d really like to go fishing or
maybe just play in the park,
If I can just be with you
I’ll have a happy heart.
Dad, please teach me what you know
I want to be as wise as you,
Help me grow to be a man
so I’ll know just what to do.
And I promise my dad, my teacher
to raise my kids of my own,
Exactly the way I saw it
the way to me it was shown.
